In the winter of 938, King Ngo Quyen defeated the Southern Han army in the famous Battle of Bach Dang. In the spring of 939, Ngo Quyen established a completely independent government, abolished the position of Governor, proclaimed himself King, and established the capital in Co Loa, ending more than 1000 years of Chinese domination, opening a long period of independence for the Vietnamese people.
On the occasion of the 1085th anniversary of Ngo Quyen's declaration of himself as King and setting the capital in Co Loa, the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center, the Management Board of Co Loa Relic Site in coordination with the People's Committee of Dong Anh District, the Department of Culture and Information of Dong Anh District organized many activities: propaganda, exhibitions, traditional art performances, and celebrations at the Co Loa Relic Site.

1. Opening of the exhibition "Ngo Quyen - Outstanding national hero".

2. Traditional art performances:
- Ca Tru art performance at Dinh Ngu Trieu Di Quy: from 8:30 - 9:00
- Traditional Cheo and Tuong art performance at the Central Stage of Co Loa Relic Site: from 14:00 - 16:30.
- Water Puppetry art performance at the Puppet Pond in front of the Central Stage of Co Loa Relic Site: from 10:00 - 11:00, 16:30 - 17:00.
- Traditional and modern art performance: King's Welcome Day: from 18:30 - 19:00.
