LAN TRÌ HAMLET “ĐIẾM” (CỔ LOA COMMUNE – ĐÔNG ANH DISTRICT)

Lan TrÌ hamlet is also called Liên Trì, located west of Internal rampart, near the south of Middle Rampart. “Điếm” was built at the beginning of the hamlet, next to the main road in the north-south direction. The northern trapezoidal land area has a front facing a residential road, has a separating fence & entrance gate; On the right side is next to a large pond, the Điếm's internal architecture is 55 m2, the inn is 19 m2, the Bat Trang tiled yard is close behind, the fence in front is 187 m2 and garden land is 345.7 m2, on both sides of the path are banana and longan gardens.

Lan Trì Hamlet Điếm

In front of “Điếm”, there is a lake and a large lagoon stretching close to Jade well in front of Thượng Temple. This is a wooden structure with a "chuôi vồ” (the shape of Chinese word "丁") style floor plan, tiled roof, three-sided wall, adjacent to the wall of the sanctuary, the front has partition doors in three compartments, with two pillars, on top of which there are two Vietnamese qilins facing each other.

The sanctuary has a truss put on the wall structure, the width is just the same as the middle compartment of the forecourt.

This is a new architecture that was rebuilt at the end of 2004 with a sapele frame and Bát Tràng tiled floor, which is still quite solid. In “Điếm” there are a number of worship objects such as: bronze incense burner, incense bowls, candlesticks, a pair of cranes, a water fountain... in addition, there are two horizontal lacquered boards and two pairs of parallel sentences.

Lan Trì hamlet worships mandarins and earth gods. In addition, on the east side, there is an altar to worship those who have contributed to the locality but have no sons to inherit. “Điếm” is a place for religious and cultural activities and where hamlet meetings are held.
