Legend has it that on the 6th of the first lunar month, Thuc Phan entered the palace. On the 9th of the first lunar month, the king (An Duong Vuong) was crowned and entertained all the soldiers. To remember the king's merits, Co Loa villagers and other villages in the region take the 6th of the first lunar month as a festival day. It is a sacred day for the Cổ Loa residents: “If you die, you will leave your children and grandchildren; When you live, you will never forget January 6” (Folklore).
On January 27, 2023 (the 6th day of the Lunar New Year Quy Mao) at the Upper Dragon Court of King An Duong Vuong Temple, Dong Anh District People's Committee, Co Loa Commune People's Committee coordinated with Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center, Management Department of Co Loa vestige site organized the opening ceremony of Co Loa Traditional Festival Spring Quy Mao, attending the ceremony were leaders: Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center, Hanoi Department of Tourism, Đông Anh District Party Committee - People's Committee, Diễn Châu District Party Committee - People's Committee, Dien Chau Commune Party Committee - People's Committee, delegations of districts in Hanoi City, representatives of the government, departments and unions of 24 communes and towns of Dong Anh district and many people from all walks of life and guests from all over.
