Ngày 23 tháng 12 Năm 2024

Gem Well Lake, also known as “Ngoc Tinh” Lake, is located in front of the Thuong Temple complex (Co Loa Temple/An Duong Vuong Temple). The lake has a circular shape with a natural curve. In the past, the water flowed from east to west, connecting to the moat of the Inner Citadel, connecting to the moat of the two outer citadels and reaching the river wharf in the southeast of the Outer Citadel. In the middle of the lake is the Ngoc Well, lined with laterite. Near the shore in front of Nghi Mon, there is a mound of land called Hon Ngoc, corresponding to the “dragon’s jaw” position - a dragon holding a pearl. According to legend, this is the lake where My Chau - Trong Thuy often took a boat trip from here.
