On February 3, 2021, Co Loa festival was listed on the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List in Decision No. 603/QD-BVHTTDL of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

To arouse and enhance national pride and self-respect, and educate on historical and cultural traditions; to honor and preserve the unique features of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Co Loa Festival; At the same time, propagate and widely promote on the media the value of the heritage, the meaning and importance of Co Loa Festival in community life; On January 26, 2023 (the 5th day of the first month of Quý Mão year), at the Cổ Loa Special National Monument, Dong Anh District People's Committee, Co Loa Commune People's Committee coordinated with the Thang Long - Ha Heritage Conservation Center The Management Department of Co Loa Vestige Site solemnly organized the "Ceremony to announce the National Intangible Cultural Heritage: Cổ Loa Festival, Cổ Loa commune, Đong Anh district, Hanoi city".
