In the structure of Cổ Loa citadel, External rampart and Middle rampart all open 5 doors, of which there is a common gate in the south, called Trấn Nam Môn (Southen Gate).

Thus, External rampart and Middle rampart have 9 gates. The Internal rampart opened a door, now no longer exists, only known through legend that the gate opened in the south, straight to the gate of Cổ Loa communal house. According to legend, on both sides of the gates of the ramparts, there are shrines to worship gods and generals of Au Lac court. Currently, there are only 5 shrines left: 2 temples on both sides of Trấn Nam Môn, the North Gate, the Northwest Gate of the Middle rampart and the Southwest Gate of the External rampart.

The shrines are built next to the gate, on a small scale, with one compartment, surrounded by three-sided walls, with a rolling arch door on the front, on both sides there are lantern pillars, inside there are altars to worship gods. All temples were restored in 2002. Dinh Thu Cuu is the common name of the relic, along with the local place name Thu Cuu village.
