On the morning of February 25, 2024 (ie January 16, the year of the Dragon), at Thu Cuu communal house, the Organizing Committee opened the Thu Cuu Village Festival in 2024.
Thu Cuu village is located on high ground in the northeast of the Ancient Citadel. During the Au Lac period, Thu Cuu was an extremely important area, where military books were written at the beginning of the battle, and General Cao Lo was stationed here. The name Thu Cuu village has many different meanings. Some say that because this place used to be the king's book warehouse, it was called Thu Cuu. Others say that the word "Thu" means feminine and has a negative meaning, and the word "Cuu" means a kind of bird. Thus, Thu Cuu can also be understood as a cry of regret and remorse for a loss.
Because the communal house is still under renovation, the Thu Cuu village festival in 2024 will not perform the ritual.
