VAN THUONG VILLAGE FESTIVAL SPRING GIÁP THÌN 2024

On the morning of February 17, 2024 (ie January 8, Giáp Thìn (Dragon) year), at Van Thuong village communal house, the festival organizing committee opened the 2024 Van Thuong Festival.

Van Thuong village (Xuan Canh commune, Đông Anh district, Hanoi) is a village belonging to "Bát Xã Hộ Nhi" (Eight communes) worshiping King An Dương. After the Cổ Loa festival on January 6, on January 8, the people of Van Thuong village held a traditional festival together to commemorate and honor King An  Dương, who had the merit of unifying the two tribes Au Viet and Lac Viet to establish the Âu Lạc state.

Văn Thượng village festival shows the inter-village connection associated with the history of the Âu Lạc state during the An Dương period. "Eight villagers" organize festivals together to show the strong vitality of the village community, enhancing cultural values, maintaining customs and practices, and through festivals, increasing national solidarity.
